HKEPC has tested out the RS780 on a Jetway motherboard that includes DVI, HDMI, and VGA ports. Side port memory is supported and does increase performance a good deal. What is more interesting is that they overclocked the RS780 GPU from 500MHz to 950MHz. In order to enhance graphics performance, JW-RS780UVD-AM2 + support Side-Port Memory technology, in a motherboard built Qimonda "HYB18T512161B2F-25" memory particles, PG-84-TFBGA package, 512Mb capacity (64 MB), default memory clock of 400 MHz. In addition, the BIOS also add graphics and memory overclocking options to further enhance pondering. JW-RS780UVD-AM2 + more built-UVD (Unified Video Decoder) Image Processor, IGP graphics core will be responsible for MPEG2, H.264 (ISO / IEC 14496-10 spec) and VC1 (SMPTE 421M spec) encoding all Bitstream Processing, Inverse Transform, Motion Compensation and Deblocking action, processors share the load. Interesting stuff I would say. |
