Fudo says that the 790GX bets on sideport. According to AMD, Sideport will boost performance by 10 to 15 percent and this DDR3 memory will run at 400MHz, 533MHz or top 667MHz. Naturally, the 667MHz will run the board the fastest and in Crysis it promises close to a 15 percent increase, compared to 790GX performance without Sideport memory. He also has this pic of a new 790FX board with the SB750 chipset. This new motherboard promises much better overclocking and in its reference design it has four PCIe 2.0 graphic slots, one PCI and one PCIe 4x. The Northbridge has an active cooler, while Southbridge remains passively cooled. |
