Many of you might recognize the codename Shrike. Others of you might not. Basically, Shrike is AMD's first go at their Fusion initiative. Fusion is where the marriage of AMD & ATI will begin to make more sense than it does now.

Anyway, Shrike will be AMD's attempt to enter the ultra-mobile PC scene. I've heard that there's a possibility for AMD based UMPCs to make an appearance towards the end of this year. While that might be the case with some designs, Shrike is set to show up in about a year. Shrike is set to be based around a third-generation Phenom core - possibly a dual core and it will have an ATI GPU on die, with the processor. This will decrease bottlenecks and power usage while still offering better performance than the competition. Hopefully, AMD is on the right track with this.
