Hot off the rumor press is this: There is a possibility that Advanced Micro Devices will be split into two different companies, as part of the infamous "Asset light" strategy. One company will be the one doing all the manufacturing - the fabrication company. The fabless company that is left will be focused on business, development and marketing, etc. Hector Ruiz is said to be in charge of the manufacturing side while Dirk Meyer, AMD CEO, will take over the business side of things. I kind of like this idea. Additionally, it will help the business side of AMD look better than it is by making the other company look like it is taking all of the heat.
