AMD Sponsors QuakeCon 2008

After a hiatus after being one of the initial QuakeCon sponsors, AMD has returned as one of the key sponsors of QuakeCon in 2008. I'll be attending all days so it'll be certainly interesting to see what's in store both as an attendee of the BYOC and covering the event as press. For the record Intel is also sponsoring QuakeCon, specifically the QuakeCon tournament prizes which Nvidia had done in recent years. Additionally, ATI was listed as a sponsor of Asus LAN due a week after QuakeCon also in Dallas though not AMD and vice versa for QuakeCon. I spoke in my interview last year with id's Marty Stratton about ending the exclusivity that Intel and AMD or Nvidia and ATI had in the past he seemed to very much believe in that and it is glad to see it come to pass.
