Digitimes reports that sources say that AMD may lay off 10% of their work force, or 1,500 more people in 2009.

With demand dropping in the PC market due to a worsening global economy, market sources indicated that AMD may lay off an additional 10% of their global workforce of around 15,000 employees in January 2009.
