TimesUnion.com writes that AMD has been approved for incentives to build their manufacturing plant in New York which will of course be taken over by the Foundry Company which AMD will have a stake in.

The $650 million is coming from Empire State Development Corp., the state's economic development unit. The majority of the money -- $500 million -- will pay for construction of the fab building at the Luther Forest Technology Campus in Malta, while $150 million will be used for research and development of chip technology.
