AMD to open new R&D center

News hot of the press today is that chip maker Advanced Micro Devices has decided to open a new research and development center in Chengdu, China. In a move showing AMD's dedication to this region, AMD hopes to also bring a sales office to the area as well. It is expected that the tech industry in Chengdu will grow in upcoming years as a result of AMD's decision to base their operations in this city.
