IBM AMD Buy Drives Up Stock? |

Reuters says AMD may very well be bought by IBM. This of course has been a rumor for years as has Nvidia or Samsung. "The takeover of AMD by IBM has been mentioned before and with AMD shares being so low, it might be a good time for IBM to acquire them," said William Lefkowitz, options strategist at brokerage firm vFinance Investments in New York.
AMD call options were trading higher than usual because of the rumor, he added.
IBM of Armonk, New York, has had a research and development expense-sharing agreement with AMD, and analysts have speculated that AMD might want to use IBM's East Fishkill, New York, chip-fabrication plant to build microprocessors. |

NGOHQ has a modded BIOS for the Asus A8N-SLI which happens to be the motherboard we are using here at Tek Republik. It will work for the Deluxe version as well. Here is what it does. * Updated BIOS with many fixes and updates
* Better support for memory modules
* Better overclocking ability
* Support for GeForce 7950GX2
* Ability to change chipset voltage
* Ability to change HT voltage Basically this gives you the Premium BIOS on the non premium boards. I would urge Asus to please update the non Premium BIOS files to include these features. |
