Asus has posted a new beta bios version 1009_04 for the A8V Deluxe dated 11/29. The K8N also has a new beta bios version 1004_05 for the K8N. They also have a new beta bios for the K8N-E Deluxe version 1007ed05.

I found this thread at the K7S5A EZboard forum dated 11/6. I'm in the process of updating a PC Chips M830LR board from a 700MHz Duron to a Sempron. The board is three and a half years old, and had the release bios. It did boot at 12X100 automatically. I upped to 12X133 to bring the speed up. With this modded bios it will allow 12X150 to work for 1.8GHz which is not a bad upgrade at all for a board this old. And yes, ECS now controls PC Chips, and made this board, and this seems to allow the bios for each of these SiS 735 boards to be interchangeable. I may do a story on the upgrade if anyone is interested.
1. Support BIOS logo over 64K (FFFFh) file size.
2. Add full screen BIOS logo feature (you can enable/disable the feature in the ?Advanced BIOS Features? section of the AMIBIOS® Setup utility).
3. Update BIOS Setup to a bit newer version and unhide all options that might be useful.
4. Add ACPI sleep state control (note that this option will not work on all configurations).
5. Replace the EPA Energy Star? 1995 Symbol by a Y2K version.
6. Fix wrong CPU type displayed in ?Frequency/Voltage Configuration? section of BIOS Setup.
7. Show PCI clock in ?Frequency/Voltage Configuration? section of BIOS Setup.
8. If basic initialization went ok, display ?Health OK!? message.
9. Enable option ROM display mode control (keep current mode or force BIOS to switch mode).
10. Ability not to wait for F1 key if an error occurs during POST.
11. Update copyrights to 2004.
