PhaseSpace is Back for SIGGRAPH 2005 with AMD
SIGGRAPH 2005
Booth #1732
SAN LEANDRO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 28, 2005--PhaseSpace Inc. (www.phasespace.com) returns to SIGGRAPH 2005 with AMD and the Guerrilla Studio to show their newest high performance technology in motion capture in two very exciting and interactive demonstrations.
At the AMD booth (#1732) PhaseSpace will showcase the Impulse: a 3600 x 3,600 resolution, 480 frames per second, high speed, high resolution optical motion capture system with up to 32 cameras. The PhaseSpace Impulse will be demonstrated on systems based on the AMD Athlon(TM) 64 X2 Dual Core processor and Alias Mocap software, creating a powerful showcase of what a real time motion capture system can do. The Impulse is unique in that it uses a single AMD Athlon(TM) 64 X2 Dual Core processor-based computer to capture the data and can be run by one person, reducing overhead costs and increasing productivity while maintaining the data quality that active marker systems are famous for. The US Navy and Army, Sandia, Boeing, Vox Populi, Lockheed Martin, Cambridge University, RPM Productura, and others have all chosen active marker systems to increase their productivity while reducing marker swap problems suffered by the older, lower resolution and lower speed passive reflector systems. |
