Inside HW has reviewed the Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition. You can buy it here at Directron for $89.99.

Kuma (Athlon X2) is great overclocker and great replacement for earlier X2 Black Edition models. Although it operates on lower frequencies then old Windsor F3 with 6400+ mark, Kuma core brings new technologies to the table and higher efficiency. We can just say that this CPU should appear earlier on the market but wishes are one thing and reality completely other. Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition works in thermal “envelope” of 95W – significantly higher than Brisbane 65nm K8 X2 core but significantly lower than old Windsor 6400+ 90nm that dissipated 125W. In spite of that you won’t need better cooling solution than box cooler but if you plan to go for higher frequencies than 3GHz, you will need better cooler. If you plan serious overclock (more than 3GHz) you will also need new AM2+ motherboard with SB750 southbridge or nForce 750a (780a) that has support for ACC – Advanced Clock Calibration. ACC helps in correction of signal between CPU and south bridge which results in higher overclock margin.
