AMD/ATI Prefer Pricing Stability |

Rick Bergman, top dog at ATI, is saying that they prefer a stable pricing structure as opposed to NVIDIA's cut throat pricing. He says that ATI doesn't want to win marketshare at a cost of loosing money on each GPU shipped. Bergman, who is actually a senior vice president with AMD, also pointed out that ATI made money last quarter. As for whether or not AMD is concerned about the advent of Intel's mythical Larrabee, Bergman played it cool, noting, "I don't know what Larrabee is yet, so we're not waiting around." By 'not-waiting-around', Bergman was referring to AMD's new DX11 GPUs, but the firm may have a few more tricks up its sleeve. "A year from now we'll have something new and exciting", he teased, without elaborating further.
