According to DailyTech, Advanced Micro Devices has launched their upcoming Puma platform. Puma, a mobile platform, will be available to end-consumers in late Q208. With the ability to switch from discrete graphics to integrated graphics - and vice versa - AMD plans to compete with Intel's Centrino in a head to head fight. AMD's Griffin processor is at the center of this platform. Griffin, a dual core processor, will be able to have each core clock independently, furthering the life of the battery. Will it be enough to win against Intel? Time will tell.
