With a price tag of between $450 and $500, the Acer Aspire AS5536-5883 offers up a good overall package for those on a budget and aren't too concerned about the size of their laptop. The system uses an AMD based processor with ATI integrated graphics that help keep the costs down but still provide it with decent overall performance.
Acer Ferrari One Gets XGP

Fudo reports that Acer's Ferrari One netbook will be getting XGP graphics powered by a 4670.
We already wrote a bunch of details about Acer's racing-red Ferrari One, and the fact that it has the proprietary XGP port certainly sounded like an interesting fact. According to the post over at Asian CNET, the DynaVivid dock, how Acer calls it, will feature ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 GPU. The Athlon X2 L310 processor works at 1.2GHz and features 1MB of L2 cache, while the AMD M780G chipset provides the Radeon HD 3200 integrated graphics. The HD 3200 comes with up to 2048MB of HyperMemory or to be precise it has 256+128MB of dedicated memory and up to 1663MB of shared system memory. The notebook will be equipped with 2GB of DDR2 667/800 that is upgradable to 4GB as it has two SO-DIMM slots.

Fudzilla has learned that MSI's X410 Athlon Neo laptop is official.
It features a 14-inch LED-backlit screen with a 1366x768 resolution. The specifications of the new X-Slim include the AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 CPU working at 1.6GHz, AMD's RS690E+SB600 chipset, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and Radeon X1250 integrated graphics. The rest of the features are the 320 or 500GB HDD, Gigabit LAN, 802.11bgn WiFi, HDMI and VGA output, 1.3M webcam, 2-in-1 card reader, two USB ports and an optional Bluetooth.
Tigris Mobile Platform For Christmas

Fudzilla relays that AMD will have their Tigris mobile platform on store shelves for Christmas.
AMD's platform that should get the chipmaker better Xmas notebook sales is simply called Tigris and it includes four different CPUs.
The top one, is carried with AMD Turion II Ultra M600 series and 2.7GHz is the fastest of them all. It comes with 2MB L2 cache and 35W TDP.
