RedHawk Linux 2.2 Offers Superior Performance On 32-Bit and 64-Bit Platforms
Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: CCUR), Integrated Solutions Division, a leading provider of integrated computer solutions for mission-critical applications, today announced availability of version 2.2 of its RedHawk(TM) Linux(R) real-time operating system. RedHawk 2.2 is one of the most deterministic Linux operating systems available today supporting both 32-bit Intel(R) Xeon(TM) and the 64-bit AMD(R) Opteron(TM) platforms in the same release. RedHawk 2.2 adds support of Intel's latest Xeon EM64T (Nocona) based systems. Based on the 2.6.6 Linux kernel, RedHawk 2.2 is compatible with the popular Red Hat(TM) Inc. Enterprise Linux distribution. RedHawk 2.2 began shipping with Concurrent's iHawk(TM) commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) systems in October and is now in use by customers on Intel Xeon and AMD Opteron platforms developing 32-bit and 64-bit real-time applications. |
