Nvidia PCI Express Cards Support SLI!

Back in the day I had two Pure 3D 2's pumping away in my system. Yes, that was some time ago, and they both cost me about $300. I had to send one back due to an overheating issue, but after that was RMAed everything was fine. Well Tech Report has learned that there is indeed SLI support in the new Nvidia PCI Express cards. The folks from NVIDIA claim SLI technology will be completely transparent to applications, including games. The company has a number of patented and patent-pending algorithms its graphics drivers will use to distribute the workload between the cards. Fundamentally, though, the load-balancing scheme is simple: split the screen into two parts, and let each card render its own portion.

I've been searching to see what we see as far as PCI Express video cards, and I've finally found one. The Albatron Geforce FX 5750 is in stock.. This is a PCI Express video card, and it is in stock for $139.

Sapphire has responded to confusion over their 128 bit version of their Radeon 9800 Pro. They are apparently renaming that model.
