CoolerMaster CM Spawn Saturday, 22 January 2011 18:13   Earlier this year we took a look at CoolerMaster's Inferno MMORPG mouse and now we're looking at CoolerMaster's new product, Spawn, geared towards first-person shooters.
Cooler Master CM Inferno Review Saturday, 01 January 2011 17:36   The mouse is the bread and butter and ultimate tool for anyone who plays games on the PC. Over the past dozen years there's been an explosion in shapes and sizes of it and for all different utilities. It's evolved quite nicely from a few buttons and a mouse ball to lasers, lights, and more buttons than most people would ever know what to do with. That, however, is not the case for gamers. Cooler Master has a new mouse out specifically built for MMORPGs that are so popular, the Cooler Master Inferno.

Gigabyte K8N51PVMT-9 Review

Digit Life has reviewed the Gigabyte K8N51PVMT-9. We tested it out here. You can purchase it for as low as $70.

On the whole, Gigabyte K8N51PVMT-9 qualifies for its mission and is worthy of being a base for inexpensive home as well as functional office PC as well as HTPC. In particular, BIOS Setup contains an option to choose a TV-set (connected to the integrated TV-Out) as a default monitor. You can use a model with HDTV support, video decoding in this format is supported on the hardware level. Thought-out set of integrated controllers provides everything necessary for the above mentioned tasks, but the motherboard is not overpriced (its bundle is not swollen, as it is usually the case with top solutions). However, K8N51PVMT-9 can offer nothing to overclockers, so this group of customers is excluded from the target audience of the new Gigabyte product.

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI Review

Tech Report has reviewed MSI's K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI. We reviewed it here back in April of last year.

With much of the high-end motherboard market riding the original nForce4 SLI, MSI's K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI looks right at home. MSI's spin on the nForce4 SLI is unique, though. Rather than settling for the nForce4 SLI chipset's pedestrian AC'97 audio implementation, MSI has endowed the K8N Neo4 with a high-definition audio chip from Creative. Can high-def audio help the K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI rise above the slew of nForce4 SLI boards out there? Read on to find out.

Gigabyte GA-K8N51PVMT-9 Review

Bjorn3D has reviewed the Gigabyte GA-K8N51PVMT-9. We reviewed this board here. You can now pick it up here for $92.

So basically what it boils down to is that this board is perfect for the media center, requiring no add-in components to get a system running. Gaming media center devices, however, will require an add-in video card for running anything other than old standbys like Unreal Tournament 2004 or Warcraft III. The GeForce 6150 is probably the fastest desktop integrated video out there, but it's not the holy grail of computer graphics. Gamers will just have to continue dealing with large, expensive, hot, and loud add-in cards for the time being.

EPoX 8NPA SLI Review

Tweaktown has reviewed the Epox 8NPA SLI Socket 754 motherboard. We reviewed this board here. You can pick it up here for as low as $85.

Overall the EPoX 8NPA SLI is lacking features like additional RAID controllers, twin Gigabit LAN and Firewire, but in all honesty, if you want all this and can afford it, a 3000+ AMD Athlon 64 processor based on the 939 package is more in your field of view but for budget SLI with the cheaper Sempron, you cannot go past the EPoX 8NPA SLI motherboard.

Foxconn WinFast 6150K8MA-8EKRS Review

Viper Lair has reviewed the Foxconn WinFast 6150K8MA-8EKRS. We reviewed it here.

We're not going to list the 6150 as a "con" since we feel that anyone interested in this board will understand the GPU's gaming limitations. Armed with a discreet video solution, the WinFast 6150K8MA-8EKRS proved to be quite a performer, near the levels of the nForce 4 Ultra and SLI (minus a second PEG NVIDIA card). If the FlexATX SFF PCs aren't for you, but you still want something compact, this Foxconn board is worth a look.
