HIS Radeon 6990 Review at HotHardware

While most of the Radeon HD 6990 cards on the market today are fundamentally very similar, we thought it would be a good idea to check out a retail-ready 6990 using AMD’s latest drivers to see how well the card performs (and behaves) with updated software. To that end, we got our hands on an HIS Radeon HD 6990 card and have put it up against NVIDIA’s best to see how things sake out in a handful of games and applications.

AMD Radeon 6870 Review of Eyefinity 5x1

Since its initial introduction, AMD has continued to refine and optimize Eyefinity, while also working with game developers to ensure proper support in a multitude of titles. CrossFire support, which was available at launch, came a while back as well. DisplayPort-enabled monitors have gotten more affordable, cheap DP-to-DVI adapters have been made available, and the performance of more mainstream graphics cards has gotten good enough to push multiple displays with decent framerates, making the cost of entry somewhat palatable for even an extreme three or six monitor setup.

Club 3D Radeon 6870X2 at Guru3D

The product falls in the more affordable high-range segment of the market, it comes with DirectX 11 support and a plethora of features. Connectivity wise you can hook it up to any HD television or monitor as it is packed with DisplayPorts, HDMI and DVI connectors, yes... you'll spot a total of five connectors on this single mid-range based product, not bad.

Effect of memory speed on Llano at LegitReviews

Last month Legit Reviews reviewed the AMD A8-3850 'Llano' APU and our article looks like it was well received by our readers with the exception of one thing.  We've had a number of readers write in saying that it was great that we tested this platform with 1866MHz memory, but they are building budget systems and want to use 1333MHz or 1600MHz memory. It is true that we didn't look at performance numbers of AMD's A-Series APUs on the A75 chipset at 1333MHz, 1600MHz and since this platform is very budget friendly we see this as a valid point.
