AMD has released not only the Catalyst 12.6, but also the beta for 12.7.  You can download them all here.  You might like the Diablo 3 AA support, or the speed improvements in Skyrim.  here are dome details.

AMD has also announced that they have had their Catalyst drivers certified for Windows 8.

In the meantime, we’re proud to mention that our certified driver fully supports the new WDDM 1.2 driver model. As applications are updated to leverage this model’s new features, users with compatible products and this certified driver will be treated to a host of new features:

Native Stereo 3D support: Windows® 8 natively supports stereoscopic 3D gaming and videos via compatible applications. Middleware applications will not be required for such apps.1
Unified Video API: Video playback has been integrated into the DirectX® 11 API, enabling simultaneous video and gaming content. Transcoding performance may also be improved for supporting applications.
Optimized screen rotation for rotation-aware devices.
Improved sleep/resume performance.
Optimized GPU power consumption.

AMD has announced that they have put out the Catalyst 12.6 beta drive, and that they are no longer going to provide monthly driver updates.  Details are below.

With the release of the AMD Catalyst™ 12.6 Beta driver (“Catalyst”), AMD would also like to announce that we are moving away from our Monthly Catalyst release plan. Our goal is to ensure that every Catalyst release delivers a substantial benefit to our end users; as we have today with the release of the Catalyst 12.6a Beta. We will still continue with the Catalyst naming convention; Catalyst: Year.Month. You just won’t see a new driver every single month.  We are confident that this will only benefit the end user; you’ll only need to upgrade to a new Catalyst driver, when it makes sense.

We would also like to announce the introduction of our new AMD Issue Reporting Form. We made a number of improvements to the older Catalyst Crew Feedback form, making it more comprehensive, ensuring high quality feedback. Feedback is very important in every product company’s life, especially in our fast paced environment. This is not just a check-box for us – we take these reports very seriously.  We will review every report posted here and investigate every issue encountered. · Elder Scolls: Skyrim : flickering square corruption is no longer observed on certain AMD Graphics cards.
· Rage : Vsync is no longer disabled after task switching.
· Tearing is no longer observed on the third screen in 3x1 and 1x3 Eyefinity configurations.

Far Cry 2 : A random system hang is no longer experienced when running the game at high in game setting.
Tom Clancy HAWX : No longer crashes after task switching with MLAA (Morphological Anti-Aliasing) and Anti-Aliasing enabled.
Furmark Benchmark : No longer crashes when launched in High Performance mode.
Quake 4 : No longer display corruption after task switching when run in High Performance mode
XPlane : Textures no longer exhibit flicker and corruption.
