After all these motherboards reviewed we should select the best one or two, but this proved to be daunting task. First of all, some motherboard models don’t have integrated graphics cards, so it makes hard to determine price/performance ratio. We decided that integrated graphics cards have impact on final price tag and we picked those that offer best price/performance ratio.

So far we have already tested X58, P55, 790GX and 785G boards from this company and all have been mighty impressive. Each board has been for a specific segment; X58 for Intel Extreme, P55 for Intel Mainstream, 790GX for high-end AMD and 785G for AMD Mainstream and there are no shortage of models either with two or more boards under each chipset.

The DirectX 10 capable onBoard HD 3300 graphics unit is amazing fast like the previous AMD 790GX ASRock DDR2 motherboard and achieved the so far the highest benchmark values of the integrated graphics processor solutions.

Fudo details the new Blood Iron 785G motherboard from DFI. It looks like a nice micro ATX option. You can search for prices on 785G boards here.

The motherboard features DFI's ABS II CPU "auto upgrade technology", or simply an auto overclocking and settings feature. It also comes with 128MB of Sideport memory for its integrated HD 4200 graphics and a single PCI-Express x16 slot if you want to go Hybrid CrossfireX.

AMD's 785G is an interesting chipset that AMD brings to the market at this time where the industry is anxiously awaits the 8 series chipset that is rumors to be out sometimes next year. It is certainly not a revolutionary chip but rather an evolution from its 780G. This is actually not a bad idea upgraded HD4200 graphics with new UVD, support for socket AM3 processor, and HDMI 1.3. However, we are disappointed to find that it still lack support for multi-channel LPCM output over HDMI and TrueHD and DTS-HD audio bit-streaming. What is worse is that AMD has yet to fix its poor SATA transfer rate and broken ACHI drivers.
