I haven't seen anything on this in a while. I can remember back when AMD used to say that they were going to skipp DDR2 and wait for DDR3, but of course, they changed their mind...
How far away is DDR3? When does it start coming into play?
I'm asking because I'm trying to figure out what will happen first. Inexpensive 2GB DDR2 sticks of memory or the rollout of boards that use DDR3?
Of course then there the question that I think I know the answer to, but will ask anyway... Will a DDR2 mainboard be able to use DDR3?

i would figure that 2008 would be the year of the DDR3 for amd
