Is there any reason why I shouldn't buy these??

These are for a build that will likely go down within a week...two at the most. I cannot see anything that seems better for the money than these 2x1Gb DDR500 modules for $200 after rebate. Any warnings or something I need to be aware of before buying?? The rebate ends soon so I wanted to purchase by Friday or sooner.

In case its relevant the plan is to pair these with a 939 opteron 175, and I am getting these dimms in DDR500 flavor because I am wanting to hit at LEAST 225x11 but I'm hoping to get to a stable overclock near 250x11 and leave her there all the time. Cpu will be cooled with an SI-120 and everything powered by a PCP&C 510 so those are not issues...I just wanted thumbs up or down on the memory. I know that platinums would enable me to get a little better timings but thats at a cost of an additional $100...not worth it.

Seems like the ones to get....although I was unpleasantly surprised to see that there were no objections in this thread yet when I posted asking help on a mobo decision everybody pretty much ignored the mobo question and instead dogged the memory. :? :lol:

sweet, I was leaning toward the DFI anyway. Unless someone points out a compatability issue with linux then I will likely get that one.

You guys do realize that "lifetime" in the IC industry means for as long as the company is manufacturing the parts, right? A lot of people look at computer parts anymore and see that nice "Lifetime" warranty and don't realize that it's for the "lifetime" of the product, not your lifetime as a homosapien.
