why do you want it to work at 266?

you can get the mobile barton which the multiplier and fsb can be changed on it ,,on the desk top barton the multiplier can not be changed

what choice of video card do you want to use on it ??

If you want an Abit board, my opinion is that the AN7 and the NF7-S v2.0 are the best ones to get. They hover right around the $100 mark.

i have the same video card as you and i don't have any problems with drivers

it is by far not the best video card for games ,,but i have not had any problems with mine on a nforce2 asus deluxe mother board

what drivers are you using for your video card?

i have the lates drivers, i know that for the ss7 m/b and card i have that that is not the best choice but i dont have the other drivers i think at one time u guys told me that the drivers choice is around the 40.72 packages. so with a little work i can find it. as for the abit m/b i`m looking at i was thinking the ge-froce FX5200 8X 128mb would be ok. just ok tho. would you do a over kill on the ram and get above 400ddr or would you get the 400. i would like to see the highest on fsb and ram speed too and i will go with sata harddrive

i'm using the 56.72 nvidia drivers

i would get a good brand name ram such as corsair matched pair ddr 400 (3200) LL(low latency ram ),,at least 512 megs of ram

FX5200 8X 128mb is better then what you have and is not a over kill

the barton 2500+ will do 400 fsb(200x2)

i'm running a barton 2500 at that speed right now

you might have to bump the cpu voltage up to 1.75 to have 100% stability

what brand of ram are you using ?? set your ram settings in the bios to auto

i didn't check ,but will that mother board allow you to go to 400mhz fsb ??

Ghost here is what i was talking about

AT7-MAX2 is based on KT400 chipset, which doesn?t support 166/200MHz (CPU333/DRAM200 frequency). This is the chipset limitation and can not be solved by motherboard vendors.

KT400 supports FSB/RAM frequency is listed as following:

100/100(200/200) 100/133(200/266)
100/166(200/333) 100/200(200/400)
133/133(266/266) 133/166(266/333)
133/200(266/400) 166/166(333/333)

so it can`t do 200/200(400/400)

so it is either 266/400 or 333/333

so do you thing i can O/C 350/350 ???

ram i will go ahead and spend the money on and get the go stuff

maybe Atlas Precision or something go like that!!!

also if i get 3200 will it perform as good at 2700 as the 2700 does ???

i thing i`l will get a abit video card a 5600 with 256 mb ram if they still have them when i get paid ($100.00)

it is slowly getting build

i would check with the mother board manufacture list of approved memory ,,and also go to the memory company to see if the ram has been tested on that motherboard

i would go 333/333

you want your ram to run the same fsb as your cpu for the best performance
