Abit KV8pro-3eye+ sapphire x800 xl problem!

Hello. I bought a sapphire x800 xl the other day. My computer would not boot with the card. It stopped after the text: "verifying DMI pool data". The computer works fine with my radeon 9800 card. Well it turned out that the sata disk caused some kind of problem.

When i put a IDE disk in and booted with the new card, it worked just fine. Im also able to connect and use the sata disc when im in windows!

Ive tried different sata discs so thats not the problem.

So could the problem have to do something with too little power supplied by the mobo? Or the PSU? (Nexus 400w)

Is the AGP slot and the SATA slots connected in some way?

Help me with this somebody!

that would be my guess , with the video card that you want to use , i wouldn't have anything under a 480 , and would rather have a 550 of a known brand
